Opening of Schools
In order to provide Universal access (Goal of SSA) schooling facilities is
being added through following activities
a) Up-gradation of Education Guarantee Scheme Centres (EGS)
Viable EGS centres are upgraded into formal school so that all habitations
could be served with quality primary schooling.
b) Establishment of New Primary School
Viable From Year 2009-10 onwards new school are being established in those
areas/habitation which are still uncovered from primary schooling facilities
so that all habitations could be served with quality primary schooling.
c) Up-gradation of Primary Schools
With a view to ensure Upper Primary Schooling at a distance of not more than
2 KM, Primary Schools are upgraded into upper primary schools.
